2023 Annual SRNT-E Conference

The conference reception will be held on Monday, September 11, from 18.00-21.00hrs on the roof terrace of Bush House, offering spectacular views over central London.

The reception will have live music, drinks and canapes!

We are delighted that Professor Kevin Fenton will be providing a welcome address to the conference, during the drinks reception on our first evening, Monday 11th September. Professor Kevin Fenton CBE FFPH FRCP PhD is the Regional Director, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (London), in addition to serving as the Regional Public Health Director, NHS London and the Statutory Health Advisor, Mayor of London and Greater London Authority. He has a wealth of experience as an executive leader in public health, including leading national prevention programmes with a special interest in tobacco harm reduction, and a focus on health equity. He was awarded a CBE in the 2022 New Year honours list for services to public health, and is the current President of the UK Faculty of Public Health.

The conference dinner will be held on Tuesday, September 12, from 18.30hrs (dinner at 19.00hrs) in the historic Great Hall of Goodenough College. Places are limited to 220, so please add the dinner to your registration if you wish to attend. The food at the conference dinner will be mainly vegetarian.

We are very pleased to be able to hold the conference dinner at Goodenough College, a beautiful Grade II listed venue overlooking a leafy square. Goodenough is a charitable organisation, originally set up to provide accommodation for international postgraduate students studying in London universities, which it still does to this day. We are therefore supporting a not-for-profit organisation which provides a unique and much valued experience for postgraduates from all over the world, as well as scholarships. Accommodation is also available for visitors within the college and the associated hotel www.goodenough.ac.uk; there is also a study centre in the Scottish borders for academic retreats and holidays.
